Neutron-rich hypernuclei: evidence for 6ΛH and search for 9ΛHe
The FINUDA experiment at DAΦNE, Frascati, has found evidence for the neutron-rich hypernucleus ΛH studying (π , π−) pairs in coincidence from the K− stop+ 6Li→ 6 ΛH+π + production reaction followed by ΛH→ 6He+π− weak decay. The production rate of ΛH undergoing this two-body π − decay has been found to be (2.9 ± 2.0) · 10−6/K− stop. Its binding energy has been evaluated to be BΛ(ΛH) = (4.0 ± 1.1...
متن کاملNew μs isomers in the neutron-rich 210Hg nucleus
Neutron-rich nuclei in the lead region, beyond N = 126, have been studied at the FRS-RISING setup at GSI, exploiting the fragmentation of a primary uranium beam. Two isomeric states have been identified in 210Hg: the 8 isomer expected from the seniority scheme in the νg9/2 shell and a second one at low spin and low excitation energy. The decay strength of the 8 isomer confirms the need of effec...
متن کاملStudy of isomers in neutron - rich magic 132 Sn region
Shell model calculations have been done for interpreting two representative isomeric states in neutron rich Sn region using SMN and SMPN Hamiltonians. They are, (i) 2.91 min isomer in Cs and (ii) the 0.57 μs isomer in Sb nuclei. The results are compared with those obtained with KH5082 and CW5082 Hamiltonians. How the results clearly distinguish the most appropriate interaction has been discussed.
متن کاملHigh-K isomers in neutron-rich zirconium isotopes
The neutron-rich zirconium isotopes are a key testing ground for nuclear models due to their sensitivity to shape changes, and the crossing of the r-process path of explosive nucleosynthesis. Furthermore, recent experimental data have revealed a high-spin isomer in Zr. Here we report the results of configuration-constrained potential-energy-surface calculations of ground states and high-K state...
متن کاملRelativistic mean - field study of light nuclei near drip line
The relativistic mean field theory is applied to study some exotic properties of neutron rich nuclei as recently observed, namely, extension of the drip-line for F nuclei from 29 F to 31 F and the appearence of a new shell closure at neutron number N = 16. We find 31 F to be bound against one-neutron dripping but unbound only marginally for two neutron separation. The calculated functional depe...
